Baker’s Yard is an old fashioned industrial estate where tiny shops are crammed into a tiny area. It is a place where guys are happy because it is full of guy-stuff. The female area is the Mad Cakes Café where they produce a great bacon bap. Into the Army Surplus cave I went and found the fixing bolts I needed to fit my cranks to my bottom bracket and also a large enough socket (32mm) to tighten down the said bracket. That is now done and cranks are on and tight. Chains are aligned and the pulleys have been offered into position. Now I am awaiting the chainring bolts that should have arrived yesterday and did not. So they are 3 days late. Also waiting for the new gearbox sprocket from America and that side of the drive system is complete. I have had to increase the size of the chain, which has surprised me as I imagined a figure of 8 would be longer.
